Nice, I like this one. I have finaly joined the 21st century and got a decent laptop with a decent connection o I should be updating soon. What have you been up to?
Hey man! Not much, just workin' and supporting "the fam". Trying to get varying projects off the ground, to little collective avail. Just lack of time and/or facility to actually sit down and do what I want to do.
Just gor maried and I am working on closing that deal for the restoration shop, its coming down to working out the details of the proforma statments. I havnt done much with my art for the last couple of months and Im trying to find the time to get some project going. Did your wife have the kid yet?
Hampton, man I just got his numbers and I think he is hiding about $250,000 a year... it may take me a while to sort it out. So what projects do you have going on?
As far as art-related stuff goes, I have a couple major things that I just don't have the room to work on - literally. I have no real place to draw or anything right now, and do so undisturbed for a prolonged period of time. One of the projects is a graphic novel, and the other is Black Golem - which is actually just being scripted right now. I've brought a buddy of mine who's a film major in on it, and we've been fleshing it out off-and-on for the past few months.
Thats cool, Im doing another big art project with the Monastery. I have an idea to feild a ficticus presidential cantadate and invite the real ones to debate on public acess tv. Pointless but fun. I know what you mean about the lack of a real studio though, Im still working in my kitchen.
The textures all look great. The metals, the glass, the glowing eyes. It seems all brushed and perfectly worn considering the enviroment. (Which also looks amazing.) The sand looks perfect. (The mountains and suns look good.)
One problem:
The blue guy's right leg. (Our left) seems really off to me, it seems to go back and straight down due to the shadow shading. But yet you did it perfectly on the Mule.
Think of the Mechtron (the blue guy) as having really short gumby legs, and it makes sense. His thighs and feet are identical in shape and width - and his legs are short - so from this perspective, the shadowed foot looks square with the leg, or 'straight down'. Since we're used to legs having curves, it looks awkward.
I also wanted to try to keep the silhouette of the character close to the same as it appears in the game. My mechtron in his image takes a lot of liberties.
Yourself?
Where's the shop located, again?
